Science Teacher (Suitable for ECTs) – Academy – Wokingham

Location: Wokingham
Position: Science Teacher
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: As soon as possible
Salary: £31,650.00 - £49,084.00 Annually (FTE)
Additional Allowances: + SEN Allowance of £2,679 (for QTS only) and Extraneous Payment of £1,801 per annum
Note: Stated salary is for QTS teachers only – UQT applicants also welcome

Our client, a vibrant and inclusive academy based in Wokingham, is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join their dynamic science department. This is a full-time, permanent position and is suitable for ECTs looking to start or continue their teaching career in a supportive and forward-thinking school.

The successful candidate will have a passion for science education, a commitment to high standards, and the drive to inspire and engage students across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality science lessons that engage and challenge students

  • Use assessment effectively to track progress and inform teaching

  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment where all learners thrive

  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the science curriculum

  • Participate in whole-school initiatives and contribute to school life beyond the classroom

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – ECTs welcome to apply

  • A strong subject knowledge in science (any discipline)

  • A passion for inspiring young people in the subject

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills

  • A reflective and proactive approach to professional development
