Science Teacher Required

Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a secondary school based in Congleton who are looking for a Science Teacher to start full-time in January. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the subject and confident with behaviour management.

About the role:

  • Start-date: 5th January
  • Ongoing until the end of the academic year
  • Paid to scale

As a Science Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons which follow the national curriculum whilst fostering a love for the subject amongst students. You will encourage students to be inquisitive and fulfil their academic potential. Additionally, you will assess pupils both formally and informally, providing live and written feedback when necessary. You will work to identify any learning gaps and any students who require further learning support. From this, you will create and implement learning support plans and organise interventions with support staff.

What we’re looking for:

  • QTS with strong background in science
  • Experience teaching across KS3 and GCSE curriculum (trainee teacher placements included)
  • Excellent knowledge of science curriculum
  • Good knowledge of behaviour management and current teaching techniques
  • A calm, empathetic, and patient approach to behaviour management
  • Organised and adaptable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
