Job description

A thriving and forward-thinking mainstream secondary school in Poole is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher to join their successful department as soon as possible.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to become part of a supportive and ambitious school community committed to high standards and excellent outcomes for all students.


The Role:

The successful candidate will:

  • Teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)

  • Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons that inspire curiosity and a love of Science

  • Plan, prepare and assess work in line with departmental schemes of learning

  • Differentiate effectively to meet the needs of all learners

  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and the Science department

The school welcomes applications from both experienced teachers and ECTs who are eager to develop within a strong and supportive department.


The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Have strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry and Physics

  • Demonstrate high expectations for behaviour and achievement

  • Be committed to raising attainment and accelerating progress

  • Be a positive and collaborative member of staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
