Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and resilient Science Teacher with QTS to join a highly supportive SEN PRU environment in Glastonbury.

This provision works with pupils aged 14–16 who have experienced trauma, exclusion, and barriers to mainstream education.

Staff work collaboratively to create a safe, structured, and encouraging environment where young people can rebuild confidence and achieve meaningful progress.

 

The Role

  • Deliver engaging and accessible Science lessons tailored to individual needs
  • Support students with SEMH needs, trauma backgrounds, and challenging behaviour
  • Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
  • Work closely with a dedicated team of support staff and specialists
  • Contribute to behaviour strategies and personalised learning plans

 

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday
  • 8.45am to 3.30pm

 

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience or strong interest in SEN, PRU, or SEMH settings
  • Calm, patient, and resilient approach
  • Strong behaviour management skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
