Science Teacher – Southend-on-Sea
Full-Time | Permanent or Long-Term Contract
QTS Required
Immediate or September Start

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Qualified Science Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in the Southend area. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator who can deliver high‑quality Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, with the possibility of KS5 depending on experience.

About the Role

As the successful candidate, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across Biology, Chemistry and Physics
  • Differentiate effectively to support mixed-ability classes
  • Maintain strong behaviour management and create a positive learning environment
  • Contribute to departmental planning, assessments and curriculum development
  • Support the wider school community where required

What We’re Looking For

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) – essential
  • Strong subject knowledge across the Science curriculum
  • Ability to inspire, motivate and challenge students
  • Confident behaviour management
  • A proactive, committed and professional approach
  • Previous UK secondary school teaching experience
