About the Role
Teaching Personnel are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable science teacher to work in secondary schools across Buxton and the surrounding areas. This opportunity is ideal for both experienced teachers and ECTs/NQTs looking to gain valuable classroom experience, develop their teaching practice, and positively impact students’ learning.
As a science teacher, you will deliver engaging and practical lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics to KS3 and KS4 students, encouraging curiosity, experimentation, and critical thinking.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver high‑quality Science lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Inspire students to explore scientific concepts and develop problem‑solving skills.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Support the school’s ethos and contribute to student progress and achievement.
Requirements
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Strong subject knowledge across the Science curriculum.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Passion for inspiring young people to learn and succeed as a science teacher.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
