Position: Science Teacher 

Location: Batley 

Start Date: 25th April 

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Science teacher on behalf of a secondary school partner based in Batley (WF17). THis position will be starting as soon as possible you will be teaching all 3 science subjects up to GCSE level making sure pupils in this are thriving within your lessons. Delivering the curriculum to high standard with great subject knowledge is essential for this role. Find out more and apply as soon as possible!

Requirements

  • UK qualified teaching status
  • Science specific subject knowledge and specialism
  • Be able to plan and deliver engaging lessons
  • Passionate about the subject of science
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service - or willingness to get on 

Responsibilities include:

  • Excited by learning and passionate about teaching students aged 11-16
  • Plan, prepare and deliver differentiated Science lessons
  • Full marking responsibilities
  • Able to use a variety of teaching methods and maintain motivation
  • Promote positive behaviour amongst pupils and manage behaviour in line with school behaviour policies such as dress code
  • Monitor and evaluate pupils’ class work and report these back to senior members of staff in order to take appropriate action when needed.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
