Job description

I am working with a successful and highly regarded school in Basingstoke, who cater for students with severe learning difficulties and Autism. The school seek a Science Teacher to work with their Secondary aged pupils, starting in the new academic year.  

You will play a key role in delivering engaging and accessible Science lessons tailored to individual learning needs. You’ll be responsible for guiding students through a variety of Science qualifications, from Entry Level to GCSE or equivalent, helping them achieve personal success and build confidence in their abilities.

 

About The Successful Candidate:

  • Experience or strong interest in working within an SEN setting.

  • Must be a Fully Qualified Teacher with an interest in inclusive education.
  • A caring and patient approach; always putting student wellbeing and emotional development at the heart of your teaching.

  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies and resources to meet diverse learning styles and abilities.

  • Commitment to fostering a safe, supportive and stimulating classroom environment.

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.

  • Support students in achieving a range of accredited Science qualifications.

  • Collaborate with the wider SEN team, parents, and external professionals to support each student’s development.

  • Promote a positive learning experience that nurtures curiosity, confidence and resilience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
