Religious Education Teacher – Wimborne
Full-Time | Fixed-Term Contract | September 2026 Start | Temp-to-Perm Opportunity

Teaching Personnel is proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming and well-regarded mainstream secondary school in Wimborne, seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Religious Education Teacher to join their team from September 2026.

This is a full-time, long-term position offered on a fixed-term basis for the full academic year. The successful candidate will initially be employed through Teaching Personnel before transferring onto the school's permanent contract through a temp-to-perm arrangement, providing an excellent pathway into a long-term role.

The Role

The school is looking for a passionate Religious Education specialist who can inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons that encourage critical thinking, respect for diverse beliefs, and meaningful discussion. The successful teacher will join a supportive Humanities department with a strong commitment to academic achievement and personal development.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Have experience teaching Religious Education within a secondary school setting.
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management and behaviour management skills.
  • Be committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Have a passion for supporting students of all abilities to achieve their potential.
  • Be able to contribute positively to the wider school community.
