Job description

Weneed a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Canton from September. This is a full-time position supporting within a Reception class, ideal for someone passionate about early years education and making a real impact from the very start of a child’s learning journey.

About the Role:

  • Full-time position (Monday–Friday)
  • Working closely with the class teacher in a Reception setting (Early Years)
  • Supporting children with their learning, development, and social skills
  • Assisting with phonics, early numeracy, and play-based learning
  • Creating a positive, engaging, and nurturing classroom environment
  • Support school trips 

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Proven experience working within Early Years / Reception
  • A strong understanding of the EYFS framework
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A proactive, enthusiastic, and patient approach
  • Confidence supporting a range of abilities, including additional learning needs

  • Driving is not essential, as the school is accessible via public transport
