Reception Teaching Assistamt

Are you an enthusiastic and hands-on Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting early learners? We’re looking for a flexible, energetic and nurturing Reception TA to join a welcoming primary school in the CF24 area from January.

This lovely school is proud of its inclusive, child-centred ethos and is seeking someone who can bring positivity, creativity and a real “can-do” attitude to the classroom. The Reception team are friendly, supportive and passionate about giving children the very best start to their education — and they’re looking for someone who’s ready to get stuck in and be part of that journey.

What you’ll be doing:

• Supporting children across all areas of early learning, from phonics and number work to play-based exploration.

• Working closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging activities that help pupils thrive both academically and socially.

• Building warm, trusting relationships with children, helping them feel safe, confident and excited to learn.

• Supporting the preparation of resources and maintaining a fun, organised and stimulating classroom environment.

• Using your initiative to support individual needs and adapt to the flow of the school day.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has recent experience working in a Reception or Early Years setting (school or nursery).

• Is reliable, flexible and happy to jump in wherever needed.

• Brings an outgoing personality, enthusiasm and genuine care for young children.

• Can work well as part of a team and communicate effectively with staff and pupils.

• Holds relevant qualifications or experience within education (Level 2/3 TA, Childcare or equivalent).
