Job description

Part-Time Reception Teacher

Location: BL4

Start Date: September 2026

Contract: Part-time (2 days per week – Thursdays & Fridays)

About the Role

Teaching Personnel are working with a local school to find a passionate and dedicated Reception Teacher to join their Early Years team on a part-time basis from September. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic practitioner who is committed to delivering high-quality learning experiences and supporting children at the very beginning of their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities

-          Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the EYFS framework

-          Provide a nurturing, safe, and inclusive learning environment

-          Monitor, assess, and record pupils’ development and progress

-          Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure continuity of learning across the week

-          Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and carers

 

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

-          Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be an ECT

-          Experience teaching within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

-          A strong understanding of safeguarding and child development

-          Excellent classroom management and communication skills

-          A positive, flexible, and proactive attitude

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
