Short-Term & Long-Term Religious Education Teaching Roles
Teaching Personnel is recruiting Secondary School R.E. Teachers to teach Religious Education (R.E.) at Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) in a range of secondary schools. These R.E. teacher jobs include both short-term supply teaching and long-term Religious Education teaching roles, offering flexibility alongside opportunities for professional development.
We are seeking a passionate and reflective Secondary R.E. Teacher with a strong classroom demeanour and a commitment to delivering high-quality Religious Education. This role is ideal for a teacher who wants to make a real difference by encouraging critical thinking, respect, and understanding of diverse beliefs and worldviews.
Role Responsibilities – Secondary R.E. Teacher:

Teach Religious Education at KS3 and KS4 in secondary schools

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated R.E. lessons

Maintain effective classroom management and positive behaviour strategies

Assess, monitor, and support student progress in Religious Education

Promote thoughtful discussion, ethical reasoning, and cultural awareness
Person Specification:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

Experience teaching R.E. or Religious Studies in secondary education

Confident classroom presence with strong behaviour management skills

Passion for R.E., philosophy, ethics, and belief systems

Commitment to raising attainment and supporting student development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
