Job description

A welcoming and high achieving secondary school in Brent is seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified Teacher with QTS to join their teaching team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and well structured lessons, assessing student progress and creating a positive classroom environment where all learners can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, well structured lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with varying abilities and learning styles.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing clear feedback to support improvement.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement and classroom engagement.
• Create an inclusive learning environment where all students feel supported and challenged.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop effective curriculum planning and teaching strategies.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school including meetings, parents evenings and school events.
• Support the academic and personal development of students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
• Experience teaching within a secondary school setting.
• Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging lessons.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• A commitment to raising student achievement and maintaining high academic standards.
• The ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents.
• A proactive and reflective approach to teaching and professional development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
