Psychology Teacher

Location: West Bromwhich, Secondary School 

Start Date: ASAP/ January 2026 

Pay rate: MPS/ UPS (dependent experiecne) 


 

We are working in partnership with a forward-thinking secondary school in the West Bromwich area that is committed to delivering high-quality education and fostering a supportive learning environment. The school has a strong leadership team, excellent departmental support, and a culture that values professional growth, wellbeing, and academic excellence.

The school is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Psychology Teacher to join their Social Sciences department as soon as possible. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across KS4 and KS5, inspiring students to develop a deep understanding of psychological concepts, research methods, and real-world applications.

What youll be doing: 

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Psychology lessons in line with the curriculum.

  • Teach GCSE and/or A-Level Psychology, ensuring all students are supported and challenged appropriately.

  • Use a variety of teaching strategies to promote active learning, critical thinking, and student engagement.

  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support academic development.

  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and personal growth.

  • Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum development, and collaborative teaching initiatives.

  • Participate in school events, meetings, and continued professional development (CPD).

  • Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and ensure the welfare of all students.

What were looking for: 

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or relevant teaching qualification.

  • Strong subject knowledge in Psychology (degree level desirable).

  • Experience teaching Psychology at KS4 and/or KS5 (school placement experience considered).

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

  • A passion for teaching and motivating young learners.

  • Ability to start immediately and commit to the role.
