Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant – Secondary School in Wilmslow
Start Date: September 2025 | Full-Time | Daily Pay: £89 – £100
Are you a Psychology graduate looking to gain practical experience in a school setting? A supportive and inclusive secondary school in Wilmslow is seeking a passionate and empathetic Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025.
This role is ideal for graduates considering a career in educational psychology, teaching, counselling, SEN support, or mental health services.
What You’ll Be Doing:

Providing 1:1 and small-group support to students with additional learning or emotional needs
-
Supporting class teachers in creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
-
Helping deliver tailored interventions related to behaviour, social skills, and emotional regulation
-
Working closely with the SEND and pastoral teams to promote student wellbeing
-
Building strong relationships with students and encouraging their academic and personal development
What We’re Looking For:
-
A degree in Psychology (or a related subject)
-
A genuine interest in education, mental health, and working with young people
-
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
-
Patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude
-
Previous experience in a school, youth work, or support setting is desirable but not essential
