SEN Teaching Assistant – Special School | Coventry

Are you a Psychology Graduate looking to gain valuable hands-on experience working with children and young people?

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Coventry, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs.

This is an excellent opportunity for Psychology graduates considering a future career in Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Counselling, Child Psychology, SEND or other therapeutic professions.

The role:
Coventry
Monday – Friday
8:30am – 3:30pm
Competitive daily pay
Flexible hours available – we can work around your availability

What you'll be doing:

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEN
• Supporting pupils' emotional wellbeing and development
• Building positive, trusting relationships with children
• Helping pupils manage behaviour and emotional regulation
• Supporting learning and classroom activities
• Working closely with teachers and the wider support team
• Gaining valuable experience of working within a specialist educational environment

Requirements:

  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
  • Appropriate refereneces
  • Police check & right to work (applicable for overseas candidates)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
