1:1 Behaviour Mentor Role - Birmingham

Teaching personnel are currently seeking 1:1 behaviour mentors for their client Pupil referral unit school in Birmingham. We are looking for people who are outgoing, resilient, and calm natured to help engage these students and effectively manage any challenging behaviour that may arise. You will be expected to have difficult conversations with the students when necessary and work in a small group or 1:1 setting. Although this role may be challenging, it is incredibly rewarding, and we are hoping to appoint the right people who are able to form a strong relationship with these pupils and build up a great rapport.

The ideal candidate: 

  • Strong behaviour management skills 
  • Team Teach trained (desired but not essential) 
  • Previous experience working with students with SEN/Challenging Behaviour 
  • Experience in youth work 
  • A nurturing but firm personality
  • Competitive pay weekly 
  • Available 5 days a week between 8am and 4pm 
  • Will have a Child Enhanced DBs on the update service or will be willing to apply for one
