About the Role
At Teaching Personnel, we are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and caring Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive difference to the education and wellbeing of pupils by supporting teaching and learning across the school.
The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to deliver high-quality learning experiences, provide targeted support to individuals and small groups, and contribute to creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
Essential Requirements
Applicants must:
- Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent recognised qualification), or be able to demonstrate equivalent relevant experience in a teaching assistant or educational support role.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Be able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, parents, and carers.
- Be reliable, organised, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Have the ability to commute reliably to the school and maintain good attendance and punctuality.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Support teachers in planning, preparing, resourcing and delivering engaging learning activities.
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils to help them achieve their learning objectives.
- Assist in monitoring and recording pupil progress.
- Promote positive behaviour and support the school's behaviour policy.
- Support pupils with additional learning, emotional, or physical needs where appropriate.
- Prepare and organise classroom resources and learning materials.
- Supervise pupils during lessons, breaktimes, educational visits, and other school activities as required.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals to meet pupils' individual needs.
Safeguarding
All appointments are subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks, including an enhanced DBS check, references, and any other checks required by Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
