Primary Teaching Assistant
Job description
Teaching Personnel are currently working with a primary school based in Newcastle-under-Lyme which are seeking general Teaching Assistants from September. There are a number of roles, both part-time and full-time available. The school are looking for someone who has a genuine passion for the early development of young students and will contribute to the wider school community.
About the role:
- Start- date: 1st September
- Ongoing/long-term with opportunity for a permanent contract with the school
- Part-time and full-time opportunities available
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher, assisting during general lessons and providing 1-1 and small group intervention for students who require additional learning support. You will also assist with behaviour management, ensuring any situations are de- escalated following the school’s policy. Additionally, you will communicate with parents/carers, providing important updates and progress reports on students you are working with.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience working with KS1 and KS2
- Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification desirable but not essential
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with both students and colleagues
- A positive, empathetic and supportive attitude towards all students

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
