Primary Teaching Assistant – EYFS to Year 6
Location: S18 & Surrounding Areas, Sheffield
Pay: £92.63–£110 per day (dependent on experience)
Start Date: September 2026 (Immediate starts also available)

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a number of welcoming primary schools across S18 and the surrounding areas to recruit enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants. Opportunities are available across all primary year groups, from EYFS through to Year 6, making this an excellent opportunity for both experienced Teaching Assistants and those looking to begin a career in education.
Whether you enjoy supporting younger learners with early phonics or helping older pupils prepare for the transition to secondary school, we have a role to suit your experience and interests.
The Role
- Support teaching and learning across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
- Work with individuals and small intervention groups.
- Assist pupils with a range of learning abilities, including those with SEND.
- Help create an engaging, safe and positive classroom environment.
- Encourage pupils' confidence, independence and social development.
- Support teachers with classroom preparation and daily activities.
We're Looking For
- Experience working with children in a school, nursery, childcare or similar setting.
- A positive, patient and caring approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- A genuine passion for helping children achieve their full potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
