Job Description:

Teaching Personnel is recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistants to work in primary schools across the S10 area of Sheffield. Whether you have classroom experience, are an aspiring teacher, or have a background in childcare, we want to hear from you!

This is an ideal role for someone looking to gain valuable experience in education, either through day-to-day supply or long-term placements.

Responsibilities:

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons
• Work with small groups or 1:1 with pupils who need additional support
• Assist with classroom management and organisation
• Help prepare learning materials and classroom resources
• Support pupils with SEN and adapt work when needed
• Provide pastoral support to help pupils thrive socially and emotionally

Requirements:

• Experience working with children (school, nursery, tutoring, youth work, etc.)
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• A proactive, caring and patient approach
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
• References to cover the last 2 years
