The Opportunity

Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting a committed and proactive Teaching Assistant to support a vibrant primary school in the NP11 area from September 2026.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working as part of a team and is passionate about helping young learners reach their full potential in a nurturing classroom environment.

Your Role in School

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in day-to-day classroom support. Duties may include:

• Assisting pupils during lessons to ensure understanding and engagement
• Delivering intervention sessions and supporting literacy/numeracy development
• Providing additional support to pupils with ALN or SEMH needs
• Supporting behaviour management strategies in line with school policies
• Preparing classroom resources and assisting with lesson setup
• Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

What We’re Looking For

The successful candidate will:

• Have prior experience working with children or young people
• Be enthusiastic, approachable, and able to build rapport quickly
• Demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills
• Be adaptable and confident supporting children with varying needs
• Hold a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one
• Relevant TA qualifications are welcomed but not essential
