Primary Teaching Assistant – NP11 Area

Pay: £92.63 per day
The Opportunity
Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting a committed and proactive Teaching Assistant to support a vibrant primary school in the NP11 area from September 2026.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working as part of a team and is passionate about helping young learners reach their full potential in a nurturing classroom environment.
Your Role in School
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in day-to-day classroom support. Duties may include:
- Assisting pupils during lessons to ensure understanding and engagement
- Delivering intervention sessions and supporting literacy/numeracy development
- Providing additional support to pupils with ALN or SEMH needs
- Supporting behaviour management strategies in line with school policies
- Preparing classroom resources and assisting with lesson setup
- Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
What We’re Looking For
The successful candidate will:
- Have prior experience working with children or young people
- Be enthusiastic, approachable, and able to build rapport quickly
- Demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills
- Be adaptable and confident supporting children with varying needs
- Hold a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one
- Relevant TA qualifications are welcomed but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
