Teaching Assistant
Location: Leyland, Lancashire
Contract Length: Until the end of the academic year
Pay Rate: £13.75 – £15.00 per hour

Role Summary
We are looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Leyland. This is a long-term opportunity running until the end of the academic year and is ideal for someone seeking to gain or further develop experience within a primary education setting.
The role involves providing general classroom support, with a particular focus on supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). You will work as part of a supportive and collaborative team to help ensure all pupils are able to access learning and achieve their potential.
Key Responsibilities

Supporting teaching and learning across the classroom

Working with pupils with additional needs, including SEND

Assisting with lesson delivery and classroom management

Supporting pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
Essential Criteria

Experience working with children or within a school setting

SEND experience or a strong interest in supporting pupils with additional needs

A positive, patient, and nurturing approach

Good organisational skills and clear communication
