Job Title: Primary Teaching Assistant
Location: Wakefield, WF4
Salary: 89.38-100 per day
Key Responsibilities:
- Classroom Support: Assist the teacher in managing classroom activities, preparing materials, and maintaining a conducive learning environment.
- Individualized Assistance: Provide one-on-one or small group support to students needing extra help with learning activities or development.
- Behavior Management: Help monitor and manage student behavior, ensuring classroom rules are upheld and supporting positive behavior reinforcement.
- Learning Activities: Facilitate educational activities under the teacher’s guidance, such as reading, writing, or craft projects.
- Student Welfare: Assist with students' personal needs, including social, emotional, and physical care.
- Administrative Tasks: Help with tasks like grading, organizing resources, or preparing bulletin boards.
- Supervision: Monitor students during lunch, recess, or field trips, ensuring safety and promoting inclusion.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Enthusiasm for working with children and supporting their development.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
- Patience, empathy, and adaptability.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., teaching assistant qualifications, safeguarding training) are preferred but not always required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
