Nursery Teacher Wanted In Harrow

Location: Harrow

Role: Nursery Teacher

Duration: Start as soon as possible – full time (maternity cover)

Pay: £120 - 150 per day (paid on a weekly basis)

Summary of the School

This nursery prides itself for the bright and spacious environment that it offers to its pupils. They are well resourced with high standard specialist equipment and give the opportunity for the children to use their surroundings as part of their learning. The nursery is looking for an individual to join their dedicated staff team and work to build relationships with both the children and their parents/careers.

The nursery is searching for a passionate teacher who can make a difference and have an impact on the nursery’s progression. Planning is done as a team during working hours once a week and there is a expectation that teachers prep their work/class for the next day before they leave. The nursery day runs from 8:30am till 4pm and is split in two a morning class and an afternoon class both lasting 3 hours.

What does the job role involve?

  • Have a knowledge of professional teacher duties
  • Plan and prepare activities and materials
  • Report effectively to parents and other members of staff
  • Establish working relationships with colleagues
  • Work with colleagues on curriculum planning
  • Set clear targets and build on pupils past achievements
  • Effective use of assessment
  • Set targets for pupils for their progress

Essential requirements and qualifications:

Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check

QTS or equivalent qualifications

Overseas criminal clearance

Past relevant experience

Location of the school

The school is located 15 minutes from central Harrow. It is accessible via public transport with a short a 10-minute walk from South Harrow station or a 20-minute walk from Harrow-on-the-Hill station. There are also multiple busses that go near the area of the school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
