Primary Teaching Assistant – Guildford
We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in Guildford.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about helping children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally within a positive learning environment.
The Role
As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support teachers in delivering engaging classroom activities
- Work with pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
- Assist with classroom preparation and behaviour management
- Encourage pupil confidence, independence, and participation
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting
- A positive, patient, and proactive attitude
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A passion for supporting children’s learning and development
- GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent)
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant is desirable but not essential.
