Job Description
We seek a dedicated Primary Teacher Supply to join educational settings across South East England on a temporary, part-time basis. The successful candidate delivers high-quality teaching in line with the national curriculum, ensuring all pupils receive an engaging and supportive learning experience. This role requires adaptability to different classroom environments and the ability to maintain continuity of learning during periods of staff absence.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver lessons that meet curriculum requirements and cater to the diverse needs of pupils.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages pupil engagement and fosters respect.
- Assess, record and report on pupils’ progress and development in line with school policies.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively to support learning and maintain a safe environment.
- Adapt teaching strategies and resources to meet the needs of individual pupils, including those with additional learning needs.
- Collaborate with school staff to ensure smooth integration into the temporary role and continuity of teaching.
- Uphold safeguarding policies and contribute to the welfare and safety of all pupils.
- Maintain professional conduct and participate in relevant training and development as required.
Required Qualifications
- Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or equivalent qualification.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred but not mandatory.
Education
Educated to degree level or equivalent is essential to meet the demands of the role and curriculum requirements.
Experience
- Previous experience teaching in a primary school setting is highly desirable.
- Experience working with children across various key stages within primary education.
- Proven ability to engage and motivate pupils from diverse backgrounds.
Knowledge and Skills
- Comprehensive understanding of the national curriculum for primary education.
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- Effective communication skills with pupils, parents and colleagues.
- Ability to differentiate teaching to accommodate varying abilities and learning styles.
- Competence in using educational technology and resources to enhance learning.
- Awareness of safeguarding procedures and commitment to pupil welfare.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within the South East England educational system is advantageous.
- Additional qualifications or training in special educational needs (SEN) or behaviour management.
- First aid qualification specific to school settings.
Working Conditions
- Temporary position with variable working hours, predominantly part-time.
- Work takes place within primary school environments in Camberley and surrounding areas.
- May involve travel between different schools within Surrey.
- Requires flexibility to adapt to different school policies and classroom settings.
- Occasional requirement to participate in school events or meetings outside normal teaching hours.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
