KS1 Primary Teacher – Supply
Location: York
Pay: £140 – £220 per day (PAYE, dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-Time Supply

We are currently seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and adaptable KS1 Primary Teacher to work on a full-time or part-time supply basis in primary schools across York. This role is ideal for teachers who enjoy the flexibility of supply teaching while benefiting from longer-term placements and consistent work.

You will be responsible for delivering engaging and structured lessons across Year 1 and Year 2, following pre-planned work and maintaining continuity of learning. Creating a nurturing, well-managed classroom environment is key, supporting pupils’ academic progress as well as their social and emotional development. A good understanding of early learning, phonics, and the KS1 curriculum is essential.

What we’re looking for:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching Key Stage 1 (Year 1 or Year 2)

  • A nurturing, child-centred approach to teaching

  • Strong classroom management skills

  • A flexible, reliable, and professional attitude

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
