KS1 Primary Teacher – Full-Time Supply
Location: York
Pay: £140 – £200 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-Time
We are currently seeking a passionate, nurturing, and adaptable KS1 Primary Teacher to join a friendly and supportive primary school in York on a full-time supply basis. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a dedicated teacher who enjoys the variety of supply work while benefiting from the consistency of a long-term placement. Whether you are an experienced teacher, returning to the profession, or an Early Career Teacher looking to gain valuable classroom experience, this role offers both professional development and the chance to make a genuine impact within a vibrant school community.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be expected to:

Deliver high-quality teaching in line with the National Curriculum for KS1, ensuring lessons are engaging and accessible for all learners.

Effectively implement pre-planned lessons whilst confidently adapting activities to meet the varying needs and learning styles of pupils.

Support children’s academic, social, and emotional development, helping them to build strong foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, and communication.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
-
Previous experience teaching across Key Stage 1 (Year 1 or Year 2).

A creative, nurturing, and child-centred approach to teaching that encourages pupils to become confident learners.

A valid Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one prior to commencing work.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
