KS1 Primary Teacher – Full-Time Supply

Pay: £140 – £200 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-Time

We are currently seeking a passionate, nurturing, and adaptable KS1 Primary Teacher to join a friendly and supportive primary school in York on a full-time supply basis. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a dedicated teacher who enjoys the variety of supply work while benefiting from the consistency of a long-term placement. Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be expected to:

• Deliver high-quality teaching in line with the National Curriculum for KS1, ensuring lessons are engaging and accessible for all learners.

• Effectively implement pre-planned lessons whilst confidently adapting activities to meet the varying needs and learning styles of pupils.

• Support children’s academic, social, and emotional development, helping them to build strong foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, and communication.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

• Previous experience teaching across Key Stage 1 (Year 1 or Year 2).

• A creative, nurturing, and child-centred approach to teaching that encourages pupils to become confident learners.

• A valid Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one prior to commencing work.
