Working with students in Key Stage 2 to support with 1:1, small group and whole class activities.

Teaching Personnel are a large recruitment specialist who provide support to schools in Weymouth and the surrounding areas to ensure they are meeting the needs of their Schools. We have opportunities for people who are new to the role and want to gain experience, through to experienced and established teaching assistants.

As a Teaching assistant your main role will be to provide pupils support and guidance, ensuring that they are able to access the curriculum fully and truly enjoy their education. You will support the Classroom Teacher with their delivery of curriculum, both inside and outside of the curriculum, whilst supporting the pupil's well-being also.

Hours are in line with the school day and part time hours can be discussed for the right candidate. You will receive a competitive rate of pay, whilst embracing a challenging and rewarding role also.

What you'll need to succeed: 

  • You will have experience working with children within the last 2 years.
  • You should feel confident working with children in small groups.
  • You will need to be professional at all times, as well as friendly and enthusiastic.
  • You will need to be able to communicate effectively with staff, children and parents.
  • A current enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to acquire one through Teaching Personnel
  • Two references from previous work within the last 6 years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
