Key Stage 2 Teacher (KS2)

Location: Okehampton area, Devon (partner school placement)
Salary: Paid to scale
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
Start Date: September 2026

A Key Stage 2 Teacher is required for a full-time, long-term position within a partner primary school in the Okehampton area, starting September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and well-established school environment with a strong commitment to high-quality teaching and pupil outcomes.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for delivering engaging and well-structured KS2 lessons, supporting pupils through the upper primary phase of their education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stage 2
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
  • Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
  • Prepare pupils effectively for transition to secondary school
  • Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and wider school community
  • Assess, track, and report on pupil progress

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 2 (ECTs with relevant KS2 experience considered)
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills
  • A confident, creative, and proactive teaching style
  • Commitment to raising attainment and supporting pupil wellbeing
