Key Stage 2 Teacher (KS2)

Location: Newton Abbot area, Devon (partner school placement)
Salary: Paid to scale
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
Start Date: September 2026

A Key Stage 2 Teacher is required for a full-time, long-term position within a partner primary school in the Newton Abbot area, starting September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive school environment with a strong focus on high-quality teaching, pupil progress, and curriculum development.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging KS2 lessons and supporting pupils as they progress through upper primary education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stage 2
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
  • Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
  • Prepare pupils for transition to secondary education
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents
  • Assess, track, and report on pupil progress effectively

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 2 (ECTs with relevant KS2 experience considered)
  • Strong behaviour management and classroom organisation skills
  • A confident, creative, and proactive teaching approach
  • Commitment to raising attainment and supporting pupil wellbeing
