Job Duties:

  • Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to primary school students
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Plan and prepare lessons based on the curriculum
  • Assess and monitor students' progress
  • Provide feedback and support to students to help them achieve their learning goals
  • Implement effective classroom management strategies
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practises and resources
  • Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions
  • Maintain accurate records of students' achievements and behaviour
  • Communicate with parents/guardians regarding students' progress and any concerns

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Prior experience teaching primary school students is preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent knowledge of the primary school curriculum
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively manage a classroom and engage students
  • Organisational and time management skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional relevant certifications or training
  • Experience working with diverse student populations

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a primary school setting
  • Full-Time hours, Monday to Friday
  • Collaboration with colleagues and interaction with students and parents/guardians
  • Occasional participation in professional development sessions outside regular working hours

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
