Primary Teacher Opportunity - Leyland

A highly supportive mainstream primary school in Leyland is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Primary Teacher to cover a maternity leave during the 2026/2027 academic year. The role will commence from October half term and provides an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated teaching team.

The successful teacher will play a key role in ensuring pupils continue to receive an engaging and high-quality education throughout the academic year.

Key Duties

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver outstanding lessons.
  • Promote high expectations for behaviour and achievement.
  • Assess and track pupil progress.
  • Differentiate learning activities to support all abilities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment.

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Previous experience teaching within primary education.
  • Strong knowledge of effective teaching and learning strategies.
  • Excellent behaviour management skills.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality education for all pupils.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
