Job Title: Primary Teacher

Salary: £150 - £260 Per day dependant on payscale

Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Skills:

- Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum

- Capable of building meaningful relationships and rapport with children

As a Primary Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to students in a Year 4 classroom. This position is a maternity cover role, and you will be working as a member of staff within the school, collaborating with other teachers and the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to ensure consistency in learning for the children. The successful candidate will be paid according to the Teaching Personnel pay scale and will receive support throughout the application and placement process. There is also a possibility of becoming a long-term placement for the right educator. Newly qualified teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply.

Job Duties:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons to Year 4 students
  • Create and implement lesson plans that align with the KS2 curriculum
  • Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment
  • Manage student behaviour and ensure good discipline
  • Build strong relationships with students, fostering a supportive learning atmosphere
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues and SLT to maintain consistency in teaching and learning
  • Participate in staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development sessions
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times

Experience:

  • Prior experience teaching in a primary school setting, ECT's may apply

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum
  • Ability to plan and deliver primary lessons effectively
  • Excellent behaviour management skills
  • Ability to build meaningful relationships and rapport with children

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional certifications or training related to primary education
  • Experience with special educational needs (SEN) students

Working Conditions:

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
