Science Teacher

Location: Dorchester, Dorset
Contract: Part-time – 4 afternoons per week
Start Date: By agreement
Salary: Competitive / Paid to scale (depending on experience)

We are delighted to be supporting a highly regarded and successful school in Dorchester in their search for an enthusiastic Science Teacher to join their team on a part-time basis (4 afternoons per week). This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive and collaborative department that values innovation, high standards and professional growth.

The School Is Looking For Someone Who Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have a passion for their subject and the ability to make Science come alive through inspirational and interactive lessons
  • Be a proven, excellent classroom practitioner with strong subject knowledge
  • Demonstrate ambitious standards and high expectations for all pupils, using robust assessment to support progression
  • Have excellent organisational and ICT skills
  • Be a flexible practitioner who enjoys working collaboratively as part of a highly successful team
  • Be personable, approachable and a true team player

The Role:

  • Deliver engaging Science lessons that challenge and support learners of all abilities
  • Create a positive, stimulating learning environment
  • Track pupil progress effectively and adapt teaching to meet individual needs
  • Work closely with colleagues to share best practice and contribute to departmental success
  • Inspire pupils to develop curiosity, confidence and a love of Science

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
