Teaching Personnel is working closely with one of our valued partner Primary Schools in the Dewsbury area, and we are seeking a committed and confident Year 5/6 Teacher for a long‑term position.
This school is well‑regarded locally for its inclusive ethos, supportive staff team, and strong focus on pupil wellbeing. They are looking for a teacher who can bring consistency, high expectations, and a warm approach to their upper‑Key Stage 2 cohort.

The Role
As the Year 5/6 Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging and well‑structured lessons to mixed upper‑KS2 pupils
- Support pupils in preparing for Year 6 expectations and assessments
- Create a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment
- Work closely with colleagues to maintain continuity and progression
- Assess, track and report on pupils’ academic development
- Uphold high behaviour expectations with consistency and clarity
- Follow school safeguarding processes and policies
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching KS2
- Strong classroom and behaviour management
- A confident, adaptable and professional attitude
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Legal right to work in the UK
