Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm

The Role
Teaching Personnel is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated EYFS Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Cardiff for a long-term position from September.
This role offers the opportunity to lead a vibrant Early Years classroom while delivering high-quality teaching that supports children's learning, development and wellbeing. You'll create a stimulating environment where children feel safe, valued and encouraged to explore, play and develop confidence as they begin their educational journey.
Working closely with teaching assistants, the ALNCO and the wider school team, you'll support children with a range of learning needs, ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive through engaging, child-centred learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities

Create a nurturing, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes children's development across all areas of learning.

Support children's social, emotional, physical and cognitive development through high-quality teaching and provision.

Differentiate learning to meet the individual needs of all children, including those with Additional Learning Needs (ALN).

Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, the ALNCO and wider school staff to provide effective support.

Observe, assess and monitor children's progress, using assessments to inform future planning.

Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues to support successful learning and development.

Foster children's independence, curiosity and confidence through creative and engaging activities.
About You
We are looking for a teacher who is:
-
A qualified teacher with experience teaching within an EYFS setting.
-
Passionate about early years education and helping children achieve their full potential.
-
Knowledgeable about child development and play-based learning approaches.
-
Committed to creating an inclusive environment that supports children with a range of learning needs.
-
Patient, caring and enthusiastic, with excellent communication and classroom management skills.
-
Able to commit to a full-time, long-term role.
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will need:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Current Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration.
-
An Enhanced DBS Certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
If you don't currently hold an Enhanced DBS or EWC registration, Teaching Personnel can support you through the application process (fees may apply).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
