Do you have a passion for inspiring primary aged pupils in targeted small group work interventions?

The headteacher of a school we work with in BD4 is looking for an intervention teacher to help and push their KS2 classes. This easily accessed school aims to provide a welcoming, supportive environment where beliefs and values are developed and nurtured whilst they make it possible for every child to learn to their full potential regardless of gender, ethnic origin, disability or additional need, and religion. They primarily focus on providing a safe and happy environment in which every child is able to develop confidence, self-knowledge, self-esteem and respect for themselves and others.

This role is to work closely alongside their KS2 team to plan and deliver targeted small group intervention. It is a unique role and would be best suited to an experienced teacher who is looking for a part time teaching commitment. In this role you will be expected to work closely with their KS2 pupils aiming to improve their math skills therefore confidence with this subject is ideal. You will also be expected to be able to flex between the different year groups and how the dealing of certain situations would differ due to differences in ages. You must also be a confident individual regarding tracking pupil progress and liaising with other members of staff. For this role the rate of pay will be between £20 and £35 an hour depending on your levels of experience.

The ideal intervention teacher must have…

  • UK QTS.
  • Experience of working with Key Stage 1.
  • Excellent Mathematics Knowledge.
  • Enthusiasm and creativity that will inspire the children to learn.
  • Be an organised individual who is able to monitor progress and to push the young pupils to their full potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
