Primary Supply Teacher (KS1 & KS2)

Location: Taunton, Somerset
Pay Rate: £120–£150 per day

Job Description

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a large Multi Academy Trust across Somerset, Devon, and Torbay and are recruiting Primary Supply Teachers to support schools in Taunton and surrounding areas.

From December 2025, Teaching Personnel will be an approved agency for all teaching and cover requirements across the Trust. We are now building a pool of adaptable and enthusiastic KS1 and KS2 supply teachers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across KS1 and KS2

  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment

  • Adapt quickly to different school settings

  • Support pupils with a range of learning needs

  • Work collaboratively with school staff

Person Specification

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Recent UK primary teaching experience (KS1 and/or KS2)

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

  • Two professional education references

  • Willing to complete compliance and vetting checks

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
