Primary Teacher – Flexible Opportunities Across Derbyshire

Are you a qualified and enthusiastic Primary Teacher seeking flexible working arrangements? Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for dedicated educators to join our team, providing high-quality supply teaching to primary schools across Derbyshire and the surrounding areas (New Mills, Whaley Bridge, Buxton etc).

We offer a range of opportunities including full-time, part-time and ad hoc roles to suit your availability and preferences. Location: Derbyshire

Job Type: Day -to- Day Supply Teacher

Salary: £130-160 per day

Start date: February 2026

What does the role entail?

  • Deliver high-quality lessons in line with school policies and the National Curriculum.
  • Provide cover for both planned and unplanned teacher absences.
  • Manage classrooms effectively, fostering a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Work across various Key Stages, from Early Years to Key Stage 2, adapting to different subjects and year groups.
  • Follow pre-prepared lesson plans and create own plans when necessary.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and availability at short notice for same-day emergency cover or scheduled absences (e.g., PPA time, training days).
  • Adapt teaching styles to suit different classes and learning needs.

What are we looking for?

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Have experience teaching across EYFS, Key Stage 1, or Key Stage 2.
  • Demonstrate a positive and adaptable approach to teaching.
  • Possess strong classroom management skills to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or be willing to apply as part of the recruitment process).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
