The school caters to pupils with complex needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), and physical disabilities. This is a rewarding role for someone who is patient, adaptable, and committed to helping every child thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Deliver individualised and small-group support to pupils with diverse and complex needs, ensuring full access to learning opportunities.
2. Provide personal care assistance with dignity and respect, including hygiene and mobility support.
3. Implement effective communication and behavioural strategies to promote engagement and positive outcomes.
4. Facilitate sensory and therapeutic activities that encourage development and well-being.
5. Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to deliver tailored learning plans.
6. Accurately monitor and record progress, sharing insights with the class teacher and SENCO to inform next steps.

Requirements:

• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (essential).
• Previous experience supporting children with complex SEN needs (school or care setting).
• Ability to remain calm under pressure, with a patient and empathetic approach.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to safeguarding.
