Primary SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary SEN Teaching Assistant. This role involves providing essential support to students with special educational needs (SEN), helping them access the curriculum, and promoting a positive learning environment. You will work closely with teachers and other professionals to ensure that all students, regardless of their challenges, have the opportunity to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN.
• Help students with tasks such as reading, writing, and physical or emotional support.
• Help maintain a safe and engaging classroom environment.
• Support students with social skills, emotional regulation, and daily classroom routines.

• Can inspire and motivate other pupils to reach their full potential

Key Requirements

• Previous experience working with children or individuals with special educational needs (desirable).
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of pupils.
• Strong communication skills.
• Flexibility and a proactive approach to adapting to individual student needs.
• Relevant qualifications or training (e.g., Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent) are beneficial, but not required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
