SEN Primary Teacher

Teaching Personnel are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate SEN Primary Teacher to join a welcoming specialist primary setting in the Trafford area.
This well-established school supports pupils aged 4-11 with a range of additional needs including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and complex learning needs. The school is known for its small class sizes, excellent specialist facilities, and nurturing approach that enables every child to thrive both academically and personally.
The Role
As an SEN Primary Teacher, you will deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs while creating a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons adapted to pupils' individual needs.
- Develop and implement EHCP targets and personalised learning plans.
- Monitor progress and celebrate student achievements.
- Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and families.
- Support pupils' social, emotional, and communication development.
- Create a positive learning environment that promotes confidence and independence.
- Maintain high expectations whilst supporting individual learning journeys.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience working with children with SEN, either in mainstream or specialist settings.
- Strong understanding of differentiated teaching and inclusive practice.
- Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
- Passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
