Position: Key Stage 1 (KS1) Primary School Teacher
Location: Nantwich, Cheshire
Start Date: Monday 13th April 2026
Contract: Full-time, until the end of the Summer term
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
About the Role
A welcoming and community-focused primary school in Nantwich is seeking an enthusiastic and committed KS1 Teacher to join their team from Monday 13th April through to the Summer holidays.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high‑quality lessons aligned with the KS1 national curriculum.
- Provide engaging and creative learning opportunities that support early literacy, numeracy, and wider subject development.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners, including SEN and higher attainers.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Assess, track, and report on pupil progress, maintaining accurate records.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and school leaders.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers, offering updates on pupil development.
- Uphold the school’s safeguarding, behaviour, and pastoral care policies.
- Contribute to the life of the school, including events, assemblies, and enrichment activities where appropriate.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
- Experience teaching within Key Stage 1.
- Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
- Excellent classroom management, organisation, and communication skills.
- A nurturing, positive approach to supporting young learners.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Commitment to high‑quality teaching and continuous professional development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
