Contract: Full-time, until the end of the Summer term
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver high‑quality lessons aligned with the KS1 national curriculum.
• Provide engaging and creative learning opportunities that support early literacy, numeracy, and wider subject development.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners, including SEN and higher attainers.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Assess, track, and report on pupil progress, maintaining accurate records.
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and school leaders.
• Communicate effectively with parents and carers, offering updates on pupil development.
• Uphold the school’s safeguarding, behaviour, and pastoral care policies.
• Contribute to the life of the school, including events, assemblies, and enrichment activities where appropriate.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 1.
• Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
• Excellent classroom management, organisation, and communication skills.
• A nurturing, positive approach to supporting young learners.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Commitment to high‑quality teaching and continuous professional development.
