Location – Nuneaton
Hours - Mondays 8.30-5.30, Tuesdays to Fridays 8.30-4.30
Salary - UPS1 to UPS3 + SEN + TLR
Teaching Personnel have a good opportunity to work with a SEMH school for pupils ages 7-16 based in Nuneaton. The school are looking for a Primary phase lead to join the team.
General duties
- Establish a clear vision and direction for the phase that reflects the school’s overall ethos and values.
- Identify key areas for improvement and lead in the development of the phase’s progress development plan – made in collaboration with the SLT and the relevant staff.
- Monitor the quality of learning and lead staff in achieving high quality teaching and learning.
- Set targets for pupils and staff and provide the support they need to achieve their targets.
- Ensure all pupils have access to education and any barriers to learning are addressed.
- Advocate for all pupils in the phase and support all phase staff to ensure pupils achieve.
Qualifications
- Have QTS/QTLS or equivalent experience
- Have prior experience of teaching pupils of a similar age group.
- Have up-to-date safeguarding training.
- Utilising performance development techniques for teaching and support staff.
- Data analysis and targeting interventions to address outcomes.
- Demonstrate an ability to work with pupils and staff alike.
- Present plans and strategies to both education professionals and non-education professionals in a clear and concise manner.
- Show that they have a good understanding of the principles behind school improvement, including planning, monitoring and reviewing progress.
- Judge a situation effectively and have the confidence to act on their initiative so that an effective solution is developed.
- Demonstrate a sound knowledge of the responsibilities and roles that come with being the leader of a group of pupils.
- A well-grounded understanding of the National Curriculum, how children learn and how to support pupils with complex needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
