We are currently recruiting a School Premises Officer to join a fantastic school in Croydon, supporting their Premises Team to maintain a safe, clean and well-presented learning environment.

About the Role

As the School Premises Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the school site—including buildings, grounds, furniture and fittings—is maintained to a consistently high standard. You will support day-to-day operations, contribute to site safety, and help create an environment where pupils and staff can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out basic repairs, maintenance and redecoration across the school

• Support with site security, including opening/locking the premises

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and site presentation

• Assist with moving furniture and setting up rooms

• Monitor the condition of buildings and grounds, reporting and addressing issues promptly

• Work closely with the Premises Team to ensure all health & safety standards are met

• Provide general caretaking support as needed
