PPA Teacher – Birkenhead (CH41)
Start Date: September 2025
An Exciting Opportunity in a Welcoming School Community
A well-respected primary school in the heart of Birkenhead is looking to appoint a dedicated and experienced Primary Teacher to take on a part-time PPA, alongside a small-group intervention teaching commitment. This position begins in September 2025 and offers an excellent opportunity to become part of a warm and inclusive school environment.
About the Role
Working three days a week – Tuesday to Thursday – the successful candidate will provide PPA cover across five-year groups: Years 1 to 5. In addition, you’ll lead a focused intervention session for a small group of Year 5 pupils, helping to close gaps in their mathematical understanding. This is a valued role within the school, offering variety and the chance to make a real difference.
About the School
The school is highly regarded in the local area, known for its nurturing ethos, strong leadership, and supportive team culture. Staff turnover is exceptionally low, and the leadership team, headed by a well-respected Headteacher, is both approachable and highly supportive. This position has become available due to the relocation of the current postholder and may become a permanent role for the right candidate.
The school has a reputation for good behaviour, underpinned by a clear and consistent behaviour policy. However, excellent classroom management skills will be essential to maintain the calm and positive learning environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced or passionate newly qualified teacher seeking a flexible, part-time role in a well-resourced and community-focused school.
