A well-respected primary school in the heart of Birkenhead is looking to appoint a dedicated and experienced Primary Teacher to take on a part-time PPA, alongside a small-group intervention teaching commitment. This position begins in September 2025 and offers an excellent opportunity to become part of a warm and inclusive school environment.

About the Role
Working three days a week – Tuesday to Thursday – the successful candidate will provide PPA cover across five-year groups: Years 1 to 5. In addition, you’ll lead a focused intervention session for a small group of Year 5 pupils, helping to close gaps in their mathematical understanding. This is a valued role within the school, offering variety and the chance to make a real difference.

Staff turnover is exceptionally low, and the leadership team, headed by a well-respected Headteacher, is both approachable and highly supportive. This position has become available due to the relocation of the current postholder and may become a permanent role for the right candidate.

The school has a reputation for good behaviour, underpinned by a clear and consistent behaviour policy. However, excellent classroom management skills will be essential to maintain the calm and positive learning environment.
