Teaching Personnel are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic PPA Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Ribbleton, Preston, covering classes across Pre-School, Reception and Key Stage 1 from September 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who enjoys variety and is passionate about supporting children during the foundational stages of their education. The successful candidate will provide high-quality cover during teachers' PPA time, delivering engaging learning experiences across a range of age groups.

The Role

As the school's EYFS and KS1 PPA Teacher, you will work across Pre-School, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2, delivering predominantly non-core curriculum subjects and ensuring learning remains engaging and purposeful during class teacher release time.

Responsibilities will include:

• Delivering pre-planned lessons across EYFS and Key Stage 1.
• Supporting children's development through creative and engaging learning activities.
• Maintaining continuity and consistency in learning across multiple classes.
• Working collaboratively with teaching and support staff.
• Monitoring pupil engagement and providing feedback to class teachers.
• Promoting high standards of behaviour, learning and wellbeing.
• Building positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.

As part of this role, you will also benefit from your own allocated PPA release time, enabling you to prepare resources, organise lessons and fulfil wider teaching responsibilities effectively.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a teacher who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Has experience teaching within EYFS and/or Key Stage 1.
• Understands the importance of play-based and child-centred learning within the Early Years Foundation Stage.
• Is a confident communicator and able to liaise effectively with a range of staff members.
• Can quickly build positive relationships with pupils across different age groups.
• Demonstrates excellent classroom management skills.
• Is adaptable, organised and enthusiastic.
• Has high expectations for both behaviour and achievement.
